As we age, yoga is our natural ally. Of all the forms and systems of exercise, yoga is preeminent in its ability to preserve and extend our youthful suppleness. Yoga is well-suited to an older population, because yoga poses are done slowly, don't put pressure on the joints, and focus on physical alignment. Join us for fun, noncompetitive sessions that will give you some basics for increasing balance, strength and flexibility as you age. The instructor will offer many options for modifications through the use of props, making poses more attainable for those with limited flexibility and stamina.
This 4-class series is offered Saturdays, June 19 and 26 and July 10 and 17, 10:30am - 11:45am. The drop-in rate is $14 per class. Meets at Old Town Yoga, 237 Jefferson in Old Town Fort Collins. For more information, call (970) 222-2777.
