Gynecologist

Overview

An gynecolgist is a doctor who specializes in the care of women. A gynecologist offers preventive healthcare including exams and routine tests that look for problems before a person is sick. This doctor can evaluate health and provide care for a range of medical problems, not just those of the reproductive system. For many women, the gynecologist is their primary care physician — the doctor they turn to first for healthcare. The care provided by a gynecologist can range from a basic gynecologic exam to complete healthcare of reproductive or other disorders.
