This group is for people who have experienced trauma related to religious culture and doctrine.
Symptoms of religious trauma may include low self-esteem and sense of self-worth, anxiety related to spiritual performance, fear relating to eternal punishment, strong feelings of guilt and shame, difficulty making decisions, isolation, sexual difficulties, marginalization, and difficulty in adult relationships.
Using empirical research and evidence-based practices, the group will seek to help members identify where they are in their recovery and spiritual development, build relationships with others, begin processing traumatic religious experiences, and begin reconnecting with losses from religious trauma.
This closed group will run for 10 weeks starting September 12. Screening is required to participate. Please register by September 5.
