About my clients
Are you struggling to feel confident in who you are in groups? Do you have a desire to be a leader, speak up for others, or just be seen? Are you stuck in the worry that others won't understand you, your lived experience or, sadly, your reality? You know your beliefs, values, and opinions, but sharing them feels impossible. Maybe you're even thinking "My brown a**/gay a** can't say that out loud." You know that business as usual won't cut it anymore. Plain and simple—YOU WANT A CHANGE.
My approach to helping
As a therapist, I pride myself on the relationships I build with clients. It's imperative that you feel connected with me as a therapist in order to feel safe and ready to explore challenging subjects. Now, don't get it twisted... we are not here to become friends, nor am I looking to share my whole story with you. My goal in therapy is for you to feel seen and understood in an environment where you can be you. Together we'll work toward a better understanding of who you are and how you present yourself in your relationships outside of therapy. I'm a caring and direct therapist that uses relationship to learn about what makes you uniquely you, while focusing on what may be getting in the way of connection in "the real world." We'll work to build a relationship where you can laugh, cry, and move through conflict in new and healthy ways.
