Strong Hope Counseling Center

Amanda has experience working with teens and adults toward their individual goals, processing difficult life moments and building skills around emotional expression. She also has experience working with couples and families through couples counseling, parenting, conflict, and skill-building, such as improving communication or connection. Amanda is passionate about working with people of diverse backgrounds and is a proud ally.

With a trauma-informed and culturally competent awareness, Amanda believes that everyone has something important to bring to the table. She practices a strengths-based and emotion-focused approach to therapy to support people in their journey toward growth and healing. She also uses a systemic approach to therapy to focus on the ways in which our relationships, environment, societal messages, cultural background, and life experiences impact us in every moment. Amanda believes in inclusive and supportive therapeutic practices for people to build upon their agency, safety, advocacy, and self-compassion.
