Bridget is a Clinical Director and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who approaches therapy as a collaborative, supportive journey rooted in trust, respect, and authentic connection. She believes that meaningful and lasting change begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood—not just by others, but by oneself.
Bridget is dedicated to creating a therapeutic space that is safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental, where clients can explore their inner world with curiosity, courage, and compassion. With a warm and grounded presence, she helps clients build self-awareness, foster emotional healing, and support psychological growth.
She works with individuals across the lifespan—children as young as three, adolescents, adults, couples, and families—providing individualized and developmentally appropriate care. Bridget’s professional experience spans a continuum of mental health services, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient settings.
Bridget draws from a wide range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Mindfulness-Based Interventions
- Psychodynamic Therapy
Bridget integrates principles of cognitive restructuring (CR) and EMDR to help clients change the way the brain processes negative thoughts and emotional distress. By noticing and challenging unhelpful thoughts (through CR) or reprocessing distressing memories in a safe, structured way (through EMDR), clients begin to rewire the brain—weakening old patterns tied to anxiety, fear, or negative self-beliefs, and strengthening new pathways that support mindfulness, confidence, and emotional balance.
Bridget is especially attuned to how shame, guilt, and inner conflict can lead to emotional distress and disconnection from self and others. She helps clients strengthen emotional regulation, develop self-compassion, and gain deeper insight into their internal experiences. Bridget views therapy as both a relational and neuropsychological process—one that taps into the brain’s remarkable ability to adapt, grow, and heal over time.
Areas of Clinical Expertise:
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Anxiety and Panic Disorders
- Depressive and Mood Disorders
- Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress
- Grief, Loss, and Life Transitions
Outside of her professional work, Bridget practices what she encourages—intentional self-care and mindful living. She makes time to stay grounded and continue growing by spending time with family and friends, connecting with nature, journaling, reading, traveling, and embracing new adventures. Bridget enjoys practices like yoga and mindfulness, as well as games, kayaking, sports, or simply being outdoors. These help her feel refreshed, inspired, and connected, reflecting the same balance and well-being she supports in her clients.
