Freedom's Hope Counseling

I am a licensed professional counselor, National Certified Counselor (NCC), and am certified in tele-mental health (TMHC). I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, where I earned a master of arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience in individual counseling and group counseling, training in leading emotional healing groups, involvement as an emotional helper among the community, and many years as a volunteer in the greater community working with children and disaster relief. My special interests include women’s issues, spiritual wounding, depression, complicated grief, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, mind control, cult/high-demand group recovery, and identity issues.

My passion is to BE the person for others that I once needed when going through difficult times. I have tremendous compassion for those who suffer. In a counseling session, I use a relational style of therapy to understand your issues from your perspective and provide options for gentle trauma work such as EMDR. I believe that we are more alike than we are different—especially in our emotional pain. My desire and hope is to help my clients find meaning, discover answers as to why they are who they are today, decipher who they would like to be, and align the future with their personal values.
