Anima Child and Family Therapy

I am a licensed professional counselor and a registered play therapist and supervisor. In my work, I use child-centered play therapy, client-centered therapy, and sandplay therapy. Simply put, I believe you and your child are the experts of your experience—and in a safe and caring space, with the use of symbolic play or talk therapy, you can grow and heal.

Being a kid is hard…being a parent is hard! As a child and family therapist, I get that there are moments we all need support through those difficult times. Through collaboration, connection, and compassion, you and your child can create a deeper understanding of complex thoughts and feelings. From understanding comes enhanced skills and strategies to help them feel more regulated.

I specialize in working with youth and families dealing with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, family conflict, grief, and trauma. I have worked in community mental health and school-based settings, so I value collaborating with school staff and other community providers to help my clients feel fully supported by the important people in their lives. I enjoy working with diverse youth and families and practice inclusivity, equity, and advocacy in my work as well.

Please call me at 970-430-5171‬ to set up a 30-minute consultation to see if I’d be the right fit for you and your child or teen.
