New Awareness Therapy Services

I work with individuals, couples, and families in my practice. I specialize in helping people work through their financial struggles to gain optimal money management.

Financial therapy: In order to make lasting changes to budgeting, spending, savings, and investing plans, it is helpful to learn more about our underlying beliefs and values with regard to money. As a member of the Financial Therapy Association, I provide financial therapy to help individuals, couples, and families to:

  • Examine your innermost feelings, beliefs, hopes, and fears about money.
  • Handle the emotional issues that can interfere with effective financial decision-making.
  • Identify money behaviors that are getting in the way of your goals.
  • Clarify and re-evaluate values and priorities.
  • Develop a healthier, more realistic relationship with money, and a plan for managing it.
  • Reduce money-related stress and conflict.

Couples therapy: I have been passionate about relationships for many years, and work with couples going through a variety of challenges. It can be powerful to have a neutral third party, helping each of you understand yourselves and your partner better. I facilitate the process of helping couples improve their communication, no matter what the topic is. I am a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist (the highest level of Gottman training) and am now a Gottman Level 1 Trainer. For more information, visit www.gottman.com.

Individual therapy: I work with individuals on topics including self-esteem, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, and work-related stressors.

Family therapy: I have experience working with families at various stages throughout the lifespan, including families experiencing stresses related to parenting and psychiatric issues.
