Hello and welcome to my brief bio on HealthInfoSource. I have a medical degree completed in 2005 from the University of Illinois @ Chicago, and residency training in psychiatry completed in 2009 at the University of Illinois @ Chicago Neuropsychiatric Institute. I have additional training in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and cognitive behavior therapy for insomnia.
I am passionate about helping people from all walks of life. I have a special interest in women's mental health and mental health care for female-identifying patients, university students, and LGBTQ patients. I have expertise in sleep disorders, ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and trauma. I try to meet everyone where they are at, and utilize psychotherapy combined with medication management during our appointments.
In my practice, I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care in a supportive environment, empowering individuals to achieve optimal mental health and well-being through personalized treatment plans, fostering a sense of hope and resilience in their lives.
I offer trauma-sensitive treatment, helping individuals heal from past experiences and build resilience, trust, and compassion in themselves and their relationships once again.
I provide sensitive, informed, and competent mental health care for individuals, respecting the unique experiences, identities, and diversity, whether culturally, sexually, spiritually, genetically, academically, or physically.
Please reach out if you are interested in care! I look forward to working with you.
