Dr. Kelly Sonnenfeld, PhD

I help people who have tried lots of things to feel better, but are still having trouble making changes. If you struggle with any of the following, I can help: feeling like your emotions overwhelm you, frequent ups and downs in your relationships, problems with anger, addictive or compulsive behavior, self-harm, feelings of hopelessness or depression, and the after-effects of trauma. These struggles do not have to be a part of your life forever. I provide compassionate and effective therapy that will help you learn new skills and move in the direction you want to be heading.

I am a specialist in dialectical behavior therapy, an approach that provides a comprehensive set of practical skills to help you regulate your emotions, change unhelpful patterns, and live in alignment with your values. Therapy is structured around your goals and we will prioritize the things in your life that you most want to change. I currently provide individual therapy, couples therapy or marriage counseling, and DBT skills group therapy. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults and have specialized training in emotionally focused therapy for couples. Please explore my website at www.drkellysonnenfeld.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
