People are unique and born with the qualities needed to develop rich relationships, self-confidence, and resilience. At the core of any useful therapy is the relationship, and it is an important decision to find the right person to come alongside you on your journey through life's challenges. Through collaboration, you can overcome limiting thoughts and beliefs, navigate change and uncertainty, and develop greater meaning in your relationships and career. Therapy is a supportive process that affirms your ability to make the changes you want to move forward with intention.
I work to establish a safe and comfortable space for you to explore solutions and future directions. I actively listen and appreciate your history, culture, and story. Therapy builds on what is going right, along with your inner resilience. My focus is you, as you move forward with greater clarity, self-compassion, and strength. I am a holistic practitioner, which means that together we take into account your many experiences, contexts, life dimensions, and needs. Therapy is about you, your Lifescape, and the people you love. You are the expert on your life, and I respect the experience and wisdom you bring into session.
My approach is grounded in respect, empathy, and acceptance. The approaches I use most often are strengths-based therapy (SBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). The interventions are evidence-based and flexible. I find that these approaches can be adapted in combination to tailor fit client needs, situations, and challenges.
