Softly Seen LLC

My name is Megan, and I am a licensed clinical social worker here in the lovely city of Fort Collins, Colorado. I received both my BSW and MSW from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and I also received a graduate certificate in trauma treatment there.

I am well-versed in a wide range of practice areas, including acute and complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, self-esteem issues, attachment issues, and various interpersonal problems and life stressors.

At my practice, Softly Seen, it's in the name. A nurturing space for all parts of your human experience (the vulnerable ones, the ones hidden in shadow, the ones that shine bright, the ones you're afraid of, and the ones that hold hurt/stories/wisdom from your past) to be seen, held, and invited into the light with softness and empathy for the sake of profound healing. I would be honored to invite you into this space and hold you in warm, authentic presence while you engage with your story more deeply. Clients that tend to find me the best fit are folks with attachment traumas, complex PTSD, anxiety, and perfectionism/people-pleasing tendencies.

I approach clients with a trauma-informed perspective and an attachment lens, understanding that one of the most important things in the room is a safe relationship between you and me, as we explore your story. People say that I offer a warm presence and create a sense of felt safety. Now for the acronyms: I use EMDR, IFS, DBT, TF-CBT, and more (see my website).

I've come to find that what is just as important as the educational accolades and the many lovely acronyms I've listed, is the fact that I am a human. I'm a human who has walked, and still walks, on my own healing journey and would be humbled to walk alongside you on yours. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to see you and your story with softness.
