Banner Health—Behavioral Health Services

Welcome! The quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client continues to be the number one reason that people get better in therapy. With this in mind, I place a high priority on providing a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming place for clients to explore the concerns that bring them into my office.

I offer 20+ years of experience in this business of helping people heal from the stuff that life throws at them. I have extensive experience in treating individuals with various concerns, including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, adjustment stressors, age-related stressors, and substance use concerns.

Here are some of the beliefs I operate by as a therapist:

  1. If we’re lucky, we continue to grow, learn, and develop until we die. Engaging in therapy is one way that we can learn, grow, and develop as humans.
  2. Your problems are important because they are yours. You are the only one living your life.
  3. Learning to like and accept ourselves is one of the most challenging and rewarding goals we can set for ourselves. Therapy helps keep us on this path.
  4. Therapists don’t “fix” things. We’re not mechanics. And you’re not broken.
  5. Skills are learned and practiced. The more we practice living skillfully, the better we get. Anyone is capable of learning and practicing skills in order to live more skillfully... anyone!
  6. Healing is always possible. It doesn’t matter how much time has gone by, how many wounds we carry, or how deep. It is always possible to heal.
  7. “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” ~ Lao Tzu

Please get in touch if you are ready to take the first step in this direction. I look forward to meeting you.
