Hello, my name is Courtney. I am a Michigan native who moved to Fort Collins in 2007 because I love the outdoors and the Colorado lifestyle. Everyone I met here welcomed me with open arms and I knew I had found my new home. I continue to love Fort Collins and the connections I’ve made.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience providing clinical and case management services to individuals and groups. I’ve worked in a variety of environments within the community, including inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse, as well as integrated health care treatment. I received my bachelor of science degree in Psychology from Ferris State University and my MSW from the University of Denver with a concentration in Mental Health and Trauma.
Ever since I was young I knew I wanted to be a therapist. I was drawn to learning about the mind and how a person’s genetics and environment impact their physical and mental health. For me, there is no greater joy than delving into who a person is and seeing their progress and recovery.
I understand that making the decision to seek help can be overwhelming, so I use a collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach in an effort to create an environment where you feel safe and supported. I encourage hope, resilience, and change. Addressing personal life challenges is important and provides an ongoing framework for healing.
